The Swiss army brand is one that has for decades conjured up notions of integrity, excellence and refinement in the camping and outdoor world with such indispensable tools as the Swiss army knife and sturdy Swiss Army brand watches. Now with more that 10 years experience in the completely different market of cologne & perfume, and the recent release of its fourth successful cologne, it looks like The Swiss Army Cologne range’s reputation can match that of knives.

Swiss Army Cologne

Initially launched in 1996 the original Swiss Army cologne was the first to be launched on the world perfume market. The success of this flagship cologne was particularly noteworthy in the US with good sales figures clocked in both Europe and the Middle East as well. In many ways it was the success of Swiss Army cologne that spurred the Victorinox brand onto releasing three new fragrances since that date, all of which have been received with considerably favorable reviews. Now in its 12th year of existence the Swiss Army cologne has since 2008 been re-branded as Swiss Army Classic cologne so as to differentiate it from the other perfumes released under the Swiss Army brand name.

Swiss Army cologne for men is characterized as a spicy fragrance with essences of mint, bergamot, and lavender. Other ingredients present include Citrus, Ylang-Ylang, Sweet Spice, Moss & Cedar giving this cologne an overall fresh and alpine feel. This perfume sells for around $35 for a 4 oz bottle.

Swiss Army Altitude Cologne

This was the second of four colognes released by Swiss Army to date, initially being released in 2001. As the name suggests a whiff of this subtly sophisticated scent invokes pure, crisp, glistening mountain scenes where the air is fresh and clean. Main ingredients of this cologne include Juniper, Cedar Leaves, Water mint and Mountain Sage. A 3.4 oz bottle of Swiss Army altitude cologne will cost you $25.

Swiss Army Mountain Water Cologne

This is the newest and most pricey perfume for men to be released by Swiss Army. Launched in 2008, Mountain water is costs around $40 for a 3.4 oz bottle; however, despite the comparatively high price this cologne is doing just as well as it’s predecessors.
